Jane's Notes: Confuciusornis’s exaggerated tails were a thrill to render, though a pair of showy tail feathers longer than its body wouldn’t have helped the 125-million year-old avian ancestor fly: just ask the quetzal. They probably served mating and display purposes. Because the extinct animals on the mural are painted in grey-scale, the pen-and-ink studies were transferred to the wall line-for-line, making these studies nearly identical to the final paintings.
Each study comes with a certificate of authenticity. Please allow six weeks for custom matting and delivery. Limit two studies per household, please. All sales final.
